Someone You Should Know: Rod Tryhus

Over the years we ve met a lot of people who donate a lot of time and money to helping others But the man you re about to meet has got to top them all Debbie Kuehn introduces us to Rod Tryhus in this week s edition of Someone You Should Know If I showed you a snapshot of the State Fair a house fire and a Sunday school class what do you suppose they d have in common If you were to take a closer look you d see Rod Tryhus in each of those pictures In fact Rod wears a good many hats from his job here for the city street department to his volunteer work as a firefighter rescue diver fair security officer and well you name it Rod Tryhus Minot People may think I m crazy but I have no problem as a volunteer of going into a burning building How does Rod possibly find the time to do so many things Well let me put it this way while the rest of us sleep Rod is likely up and at it making a clean sweep through the day Rod Your day starts at you get out of bed at what time Four o clock And what time do you go to bed I try to be to bed after the news but it s usually midnight It s a busy and demanding lifestyle but Rod doesn t seem to mind He believes it s God s calling for him In fact he may soon be adding a cleric s collar to his hat collection Rod Few weeks ago I went to an interview to start the process of possibly being credentialed as a minister It s something I ve had even since I was a young party Even before I was a teenager I babysat for the neighbor s kids and helped people in the neighborhood It s something I ve always enjoyed is helping people And in this picture Rod Tryhus is Someone You Should Know Debbie Kuehn KX News
